I needed a key roughly 50 years old to be duplicated and no one else could do this but Locksmith Center. I sent them an e-mail with a photo of both sides of the key and they said to come in and they could copy as many as I needed that day. They were excellent, quick, courteous, and informative. I was grateful!

After my VW car key snapped. I called around to a few different locksmith’s and kept getting “no” and “we won’t do it”. Until I get to them. They actually explain why they arent so easy to do and it’s a VW thing. Then they asked if I can come down to see if they can do anything to help me now. I get there, they can’t help immediately but give me many tips and what my next steps should be. Links to key fobs, VW numbers etc. Admittedly, I cheap out. I buy 2/3 sets off Amazon. Thinking I can fix it myself. Which I can’t so I go back to them. And again. They show and explain what they can and can’t do. And how they cannot help. And explain what I could do next. They seem nice enough, just don’t ask them to replace or reprogram an Audi key fob after model year 2019. They can’t do that.

Make sure you test the key yourself before paying and leaving. First the key nearly got stuck in the ignition and then it wouldn’t go in and out of the door smoothly. This bad review could have been avoided if he had taken the time to check before handing me the key; it’s ridiculous I had to have the guy come outside TWICE to get the key working correctly and he acted like it was an inconvenience. The key does work so that’s why I went with 2 starts instead of 1. Take some pride in your work sheesh.
