Louisville Mulch

Last July I spent $1500. on sod and a small walkway with this company. When the sod was laid, it was brown and dead. They kept telling me it will "green up". It did not. The stone walkway breaks each time I walk on it. I called several times and never got a return call. I got a call one day asking if I would like a free estimate from this company! I gave the poor lady the story. It happened to be the owner's mother telling me she would make sure it got fixed. It did not. They initially made appointments to fix it, but never showed up. Do not waste your time or money on this company.

I've never written a review on anything before, but this has been a pretty horrible experience!! My husband tried to do something nice for me on Mother's Day and went to get some mulch and stepping stones for our backyard, but when he checked out, he was charged over $500 for 13 stepping stones, which were smaller than the size of a pizza!! When he tried to return them, he was informed that the staff present didn't have this authorization to do returns and promised a call the next day. Despite me calling them twice, I never got a return call. Tried again today (2 days later) and there was a new person who had no idea what I was talking about. Another promised callback that has yet to happen. We tried to support a local business here, but never again.

Ed and his family are wonderful. Our mulch delivery had to be scheduled twice because our driveway is very narrow. Ed had the mulch re-loaded onto a smaller truck and supervised the delivery himself. What excellent service! And, the mulch is great, too. It's made right here on Aiken road. Also bought 3 beautiful hydrangea at a great price. Thanks Ed & buy local everyone!

I find it interesting the wide range of quality on the reviews. I have not used Louisville Mulch for any of the other services that folks seem to dislike, but have used them annually for mulch for a number of years now. They have always delivered excellent quality mulch at very fair prices and have been easy to order from and always expedient when delivering to my house. I will continue to use them regardless of reviews. They do a good job in my book

Don't waste your time! We tried 3 times to get someone out for an estimate on tree removal and landscaping. The first time the guy called 2 hrs after he was supposed to come saying he was on his way, but we were unavailable. We rescheduled for the next day. He was a no show and never called. So we called again and rescheduled. Never showed and never called. So they have lost our business!!!
