Lowe's Home Improvement

I’ve been a loyal Lowe’s customer for years and always had great experiences at the Mooresville, NC location. Unfortunately, my recent visit to the Lexington, NC store was the worst experience I’ve ever had at any Lowe’s. I went in to purchase a specific grill I had already researched. I found it on display and asked an associate if I could buy one already assembled since I had guests coming over. He told me there wouldn’t be any available until next week. I asked how long assembly would take if I did it myself, and he said around 45 minutes. I then said I’d take a boxed one—only to find out there were none in stock and none on order. It pains me to write this, but it is what it is... Lowe's used to be my go to place for home and home improvement supplies. But in the last few years it has gotten to the point I only go if I have no other choice. They have gone to self service check out's with no other option most of the time. They seem to have really good employees, when you can find one, which isn't a slam on them, the store just seems constantly understaffed. I prefer to do business with small businesses, always have. Between the big box home improvement stores I'll take Home Depot over Lowe's these days, even if it means going out of my way to do so.

I purchased a toilet for my home and I made the mistake of purchasing the installation. 5 days later I find out they don't even have anybody in my area to do the installation and they'll have to try and get the company to relocate somebody and it could take another five to 10 days. Definitely not good customer service when you can't provide what you sell.

Ok I do have to give credit where it is due. Eric the manager has really seemed to have turned things around here in the few months he has been here. Shane assisted me in picking out patio doors that ended up being the correct ones for my home (the contractor was wrong) and later Donald and he helped me pick out an exquisite front door for my house. I plan to go back for a side door soon. Steven the assistant manager actually took special care to assist me with picking out the accessories I needed for the doors. So I must be magnanimous and say good job and keep the faith that this store is no longer a dumpster fire. Lol

I buy all my tools and yard stuff from there I would live there if I could. I give em 5⭐s. I could live there if they would let me. I should get a job there. I am there so much anyway.5 ⭐s from me. Maybe I should fill a application just saying. 5 ☆
