Boy, oh boy. Be extremely wary of this location’s local management team. We placed a custom order that required one of their technicians to come to our home to take precise measurements. Despite that, the local salesperson still ordered the wrong size. What makes this inexcusable is that there were only two possible sizes to choose from. On the second attempt, they reordered the exact same wrong size again. This item was urgently needed for a family member who was in hospice care. After four failed attempts and nearly nine months of ongoing issues, Lowe’s corporate had to step in to fix what the local store could not. Lowe's vs home depot for the owner of a single home or a very small construction business. Lowes pro credit card gives 5% cash back on EVERY purchase, EVERY time. Thus the discount is more reliable than at HD. Stock wise the Home Depot / Lowe's debate is extremely similar to the Costco / Sam's Club both have some things better than the other, which item is better at which store is always up for a debate. Dear Lowe’s Customer Care, I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with the recent appliance installations completed at my home. While we are very happy with the GE washer and dryer we purchased, the installation workmanship has been unacceptable—especially considering this is the second issue we’ve experienced in just a few weeks. A few weeks prior, we purchased a refrigerator, and the installation crew left water and boxes in the kitchen, which was unprofessional and careless. I was not present during that installation, and I’m concerned the crew may have taken advantage of that situation. Most recently, the washer and dryer installation was done poorly. Was at the Dallas Hwy location on 11/10/25 - the only Lowes employee I could find was the woman at the front door - not sure what her job is, as she was absolutely useless. I needed assistance finding a piece of hardware and after not finding any employee I asked her - as she was chomping on her snack - she told me what aisle to find it. I told her I located the aisle but needed more help. She was annoyed and said she would call someone. Meanwhile a gentleman walked up and said he needed help in paint dept. She told him to ring the doorbell He said he did - 3 times already. I went back and waited and no employee showed up. I walked back up front and she is still eating - asked her where everyone was. My new kitchen install is 60% Lowes. It has been a great place to get all my renovation needs from flooring, appliances and hardware for cabinets. The online/delivery is great. Items were delivered in a safe and timely manner. My tile flooring arrived with minimal breakage, 100% is not realistic when dealing with bulk orders of tile. A 5-10% breakage is realistic. Many hands touch the boxes, but the delivery guys were as careful as they could. I am glad that Lowes could be a part of the what makes my homes heart.
