Lowe's Home Improvement

Lowe’s has a great selection and I feel like they carry a lot more items compared to other stores, which is a big plus. The store is also less crowded than Home Depot, so shopping feels a little calmer and less chaotic. That said, the prices are definitely more expensive, and it’s much harder to find a worker when you actually need help. Overall, it’s a solid store with good inventory, but the higher prices and limited staff keep it from being a full 5 stars for me

I received a Christmas gift from my son and daughter-in-law that I already had. I went to Lowe’s today to return the gift with the receipt in hand. When I got there, they told me that I could not get store credit. They had to credit the original purchasers credit card. I told them that I would only use the store credit in their store and I asked for a manager. The manager was very unhelpful as well. So they credited my son‘s credit card and he sent me the money and I did my shopping at Home Depot. I’ve worked in retail for 28 years as an executive and never once did our fortune 500 company want to send a customer away to spend their money elsewhere. Do not shop here! Purchased an Ariens snowblower in October 2025 online. We ordered unassembled, however it came assembled, not such an issue However, when husband looked it a few days later, as he was out of town, there was no key or manual to it! Called several times, no one answers phone. Went to store to get a key/manual for it. Waited 45 minutes at customer service and explained situation. Employee comes from back room and hands me a plastic red key, said this should work. No bag, no item, no stock number. Went home, key did not work. Called store, no answer! Went on lowes live chat, said someone would call back in 24 hours! So, four days later, women said a key would be mailed. Almost 4 weeks now, no key/manual! Called again over one week ago, man said someone would call back in

It seems impossible to speak with an associate. I have an order to be delivered which is a 45 minutes drive from where I live. I need to find out what day & time it will be delivered since they changed the delivery date without telling me. I have to make arrangements to be there to accept & sign for the delivery. After finally getting past the AI assistant, AI indicated they would connect me with an associate. I was on hold over 10 minutes & still did not get to speak with an associate. I finally gave up. Shop elsewhere.

Lowe's is one of few retailers that still have EGO snow blowers in stock. I purchased 1 of the few left in Lowe's inventory. Big thank you to Joanne for your help today.
