First, the staff at Lucas Plumbing are the nicest most customer oriented people you will ever meet. We've used them for repairs as well as installing a bathtub. They're very responsive and go above and beyond to do a good job.

Danny from Lucas LTD came out 30 minutes after we called about a leaking sink/garbage disposal that had flooded our kitchen floor. Within the hour of his arrival, the leak was fixed and he had all the right parts necessary right in his truck. Professional job, courteous of our home and would highly recommend for all plumbing needs!

Laying out the facts. Paid 488$ flat rate for a job that took less than 1,5 hours. Had outside hose replaced. Equivalent matériels less than 50$ at Home Depot. So that leaves roughly 438 for man hours and? Job was well performed, and works like it should. But the price seems excessive considering the amount of work that was required. I did specify that a quote was needed on the phone, however they still were going to charge me 150$ for diagnosing the issue? I told them on the phone what the issue was, and I just needed a quote. All in all a bit of a rough experience. Can’t complain on the work performed, but also can’t recommend based on the lack of customer service and communication.

We've used Lucas plumbing a dozen times over the years. They're probably not the cheapest, but they seem to be typical rates. I've tried others -- Lucas is dependable and has always done great work. Just had Greg diagnose and repair really elusive shower leak (was initially installed by another contractor, but valve evidently died from old age). He's got a boatload of experience and skills, and did an A1 job.

Pricing and lack of communication. Very unprofessional to not tell you their fees and procedures before coming out. I called them to ask about replacing a sewage pump which I knew before i called needed to be replaced. The plumber came out and did an assessment- cost $110. When I made the appointment i was never told this. So I paid $110 for them to tell me I need a new pump which I already knew. Also asked the plumber to tighten a loose faucet. I would have done it myself but since he was there and had actual plumbers tools i asked if he would do it and he said yes. I figured he would do it as a courtesy since he was already there and i used them before for big jobs. He charged me $110 to tighten a bolt that took less than 2 minutes.
