I had an extremely disappointing experience with Magic Tile Design and strongly advise others to stay away. I hired them to build a large custom steam shower and a laundry area, specifically requesting the Schluter system. They claimed to be experienced with Schluter and said it was a great fit for steam showers—but this quickly proved false. They initially used the wrong materials, including no vapor barrier, and had to tear out their own work after I caught the issue. Once they got the correct products, it became clear they didn’t know how to use them. I had to guide them step by step, contact Schluter myself, and explain the proper installation process just to preserve the system’s warranty.
