Mako Lawncare

I've been on the fence about leaving a review for Mako due to mixed feelings, but after my service today, I feel like this review is warranted. Mako service has been decent since I first began using the service. However, over time, I realized there's a few things that bother me. (Inconsistent services) The mowers will come to cut the yard no matter how short the grass may already be. If they arrive, they'll "cut" even if not needed. Many times the mowers will come, and only cut the front yard without using the mower for the back. I've seen this happen in person. (Poor traceability) The way pricing is logged is also strange. Hand written bills are given after every cut -- this leaves no room for traceability for the customer. How do I know that what I'm being asked to pay is truly reflec

Jacob and his teammate did an incredible job transforming our backyard. We’ve never seen it look this good! Before they arrived, it was a complete jungle, but now it’s in pristine condition. I wasn’t at home when Mako showed up and mowed our yard. I checked it out and there are patches of unmoved areas, particularly on each side of the house, the grass was left too tall in the front, back and both sides of the home. I’m going to have to get a mower and take care of the lawn myself or I’m going to receive a letter from our HOA. Also, more of my neighbors lawn was mowed than. mine. I’m extremely disappointed with your company.

My email to David Makowski, owner of Mako Lawncare: This is to let you know that I’m ending lawn care services with you, effective immediately, because you (or someone on your crew) killed my maple tree. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars over the years to get that tree established—buying it, paying others to plant and maintain it, and keeping it mulched. We’ve talked more than once about not weed-whacking around the base of the tree. You knew it would damage the bark and eventually kill it, which is exactly what happened. I couldn’t implement your suggestion to wrap it myself since I wasn't around, which is why I asked you to take care when working near it.
