Marion Square Garage

This is one of the worst garages I've been to. Sure it's convenient for walking around downtown, but don't let that fool you. The prices of the garage are high, attendants are rude, uncaring, and very unhelpful. I have called the garage before and they hang up on me every time. They will constantly close the garage claiming it is full when in fact nearly 3-4 levels are completely empty. The light up sign will still say open but when you go to get a ticket, the attendant will rudely inform you that it is full when in reality it's far from it. Be cautioned about this garage.

Very deceiving pricing. Overnight if you park before midnight means it charges you for two full days $48. The way it’s worded is unclear and deceiving to say the least. At that point you’re already pulled in or blocked a very busy sidewalk. I’m from Chicago with some of the highest parking prices in the country. This is straight robbery, Charleston should be ashamed of this pricing scam. It’s worth finding the street parking after 6 and moving by 9am. Amazing city with crap parking regulations.

Sign says "max 24$ per day" But if you stay over night, it's 40+ dollars, cause they reset at midnight. Deceptive.

Have handicapped plate and parking should be free but when called st exit the never answer so have to pay to get out.

This parking a major scam. If you are endeavoring on parking here overnight, you will get double charged ($48) and not the “daily max of $24”. The writing and rules should be much clearer. Coming from someone who is well equipped with parking garages, even in NYC, I have never encountered such a thing, nor did anyone offer us a reimbursement from the lack of clear writing.
