Maritime Garage

Took 1 hr 5 minutes to leave on a busy Sunday afternoon. An incredibly frustrating experience where there was a line of cars backed up to the 5th level. Highly recommend parking somewhere else.

This is the worst experience I've ever had! This place is an absolute scam! I brought my family to the Maritime Aquarium, and the nightmare began when we parked here. When we were ready to leave, the payment machine decided to completely jam up. It didn't respond to any payment method, whether it was cash or credit, and even the cancel button was useless. It refused to give back our parking ticket. In our moment of frustration, we tried to call for help, only to be met with a dismissive voice on the other end, telling us to just leave immediately. But the nightmare didn't end there! A couple of weeks later, we received a parking ticket in the mail with a $25 fine. Outraged, I attempted to appeal the ticket, thinking they would rectify their mistake. However, all I got in response was a

Great parking garage situated in downtown Norwalk, CT between The Maritime Aquarium and The Sono Collection! Easily accessible payment machines with very reasonable parking rates. Employees are always walking around and readily available to answer any questions you may have!

Decent parking garage but lame how you gotta pay to park. I'd rather walk from afar since aquarium tickets already aren't cheap to begin with

Worst parking experience ever. It took us close to an hour to get out of the garage, because cars could exit only so slowly - two exits, one lane each. I had paid $8 on the machine in the lobby, which was the maximum charge for a day. About 50 minutes later, when our car finally got to the exit, it said that too much time had passed and we had to pay another $2!!! Presumably everyone had to do this, whether they paid in the lobby or not, a sure way to slow down the exit process! I will never park in this garage again. In fact, I don't think I'll visit the aquarium again because the parking garage is so terrible!
