Master Air Duct clean

HORRIBLE experience. I don't recommend them. I needed to have a dryer vent cleaned and the web site listed $79 for the work. When they came, they said the clog was in the top part that goes to the roof and the price went up to $249 for the work. When they moved the appliances, they did it very roughly and scratch the tiles and the dryer on the side. When they finished, they left the appliances in disarray (misaligned). They did a rush job and left in a hurry. I had to call them to come back and arrange the appliances back in place as they found them. They came back but were very upset and did not take responsibility for the scratches to the dryer.

My experience with this company has been HORRIBLE. I originally hired them for dryer duct cleaning at an advertised rate of $79. They sent a sub-contractor from a different company. Those people told me that I needed a new dryer hose and they needed to do some work to get water out of my dryer vent. I was NOT given an estimate for the work, but I understood there would be an additional cost for the dryer hose (this is a piece that costs less than $30 retail). The men completed the job, then gave me a bill for $3,798 and said that I needed to pay before they left. The cost just for the hose was $1,350 (not including the labor). What impressed me the most was their attention to minor details. They carefully cleaned the register boots and plenums, and they even disassembled and cleaned the air handler unit, which is an important part of the HVAC system. I was mortified when they opened our air ducts. There was so much dust and dead insects in there, and this was the air we'd been breathing! It explains why we had such horrible allergies and why the house was always dusty no matter how often I cleaned. Dirty air ducts provide a quiet health concern. Don't wait until you have respiratory troubles like we did; clean your ducts before it gets this nasty!
