I've admired Matt's painting for years. His eye catch's these simple otherwise uninteresting visuals and he captures them expertly on the canvas. Shadow and light tell the story of his travels around the world. I own one of his still life's. It depicts his work bench that is occupied with all the necessary tools of the trade. I see that painting everyday and I love that.

I love Matt Chinian's paintings. They convey the emotion of living in this remarkable landscape. He captures the light perfectly, in all seasons. It is wonderful to go to his studio and meet him in person, to see all the things he is working on and learn more about his inspirations.
