They did an amazing job with multiple pieces we had inherited that are 70+ years old... A buffet, some armoires, some chairs needing to be reupholstered... Everything was great. They changed the wood stain a bit to match our existing bedroom furniture. The chairs are much more comfortable now. Everything looks like it can hold up for another couple of generations now. Great work.

Maxwell's recovered a sofa that was handed down to me. I loved the couch but it was old-fashioned and worn out. Kait and Greg made excellent and helpful suggestions on both the cushion shape and fabric selection. Overall it was a really fun process and I am thrilled with the couch.

For 40 years I have had reasons to rebuild, refinish, reupholster and repair many pieces of furniture including antiques: a 40’s dining table, an Art Deco buffet, recover a sofa and multiple chairs, etc. Maxwells is honest, highly skilled, and because of a deep generational history of knowledge and skill no project is beyond them (Unless they tell you and you discuss the possibilities). Don’t judge by the antique look of the interior of their shop. It speaks to the precious knowledge passed down through the generations.

We sent our 17 year old table that had its fair share of wear to Maxwell's. It was gone for all of my summer vacation, but it ended up taking a few more weeks. But that extra couple of weeks was well worth it, our table is absolutely stunning, it's a true work of art. It looks better then anything you can find at your local furniture store.
