The last storm that rolled through Wilmington delivered some lightning that was close enough to my house to short a GFI outlet and the logic board in my garage door opener. I did a Google search to see if there were any electricians that had experience installing whole house surge protection and came across Mayo's Electrical Service site. I read the reviews and reached out to Mayo's and just had Tim out to install the device today. He was punctual, friendly, well-versed in SPD's (surge protection device) and thorough. He explained the extra steps he took to make the SPD fit in my main electrical panel. He also pointed out the warranty information that came with the device in the event I would need to make a claim. Tim was very professional, clean-cut, organized and efficient. We had him install multiple complex lighting fixtures and fans. All of them are secured well and look great. He is dependable, arrived on time and cleaned up after himself. He answered all of my numerous questions. Top notch, we will absolutely depend on him for all our future electrical needs.

A prior contractor stripped the threads in the junction box and supporting bracket while attempting to install a ceiling fan and admitted that costly drywall repairs were necessary to replace it. Tim thoroughly analyzed the situation from several aspects and was able to install the fan in a cost effective manner without requiring any expensive drywall repairs. He's definitely a problem solver who can think on his feet and I felt proud supporting a marine veteran who takes pride in doing a job the right way.
