I own The Ligero Leaf cigar bar in Anniston, Al. I hired McCleod Electric to do some various electrical work at my cigar bar with the bulk of the work putting electrical outlets on my new covered patio area. A couple days after the work was completed, Buddy McCleod (owner who I had not seen at all during the work) came to the bar to bring me the bill and collect payment. When he presented the $3600ish bill to me, I was surprised that it was that high. I asked for an invoice detailing a breakdown of the costs because it was about 1k more than I was expecting. He said he did not have that. I told him that I wanted to see a breakdown of why the bill was $3600ish because it was a good bit more than I expected to be charged and asked him how he charges for the work. If I could have reviewed at a zero star I would have. These people! They arrived late. We had called to have electrical wiring fixed from a fire under my uncle's house. They came out. They did absolutely nothing. Said they couldn't do anything until plumbing did their part which was fine. But why didn't they just charge me a service call? Instead they charged me a 150.00 for nothing. They were very sketchy. I wrote a check for the services. Them some women comes to the door asking me to re-wrote the check to a personal person because they couldn't cash it. Then when I asked for a receipt they said we don't have receipts today. Under no circumstances should you consider using this company. I contacted them to rewire a switch controlling one light and a ceiling fan (the light switch was working already but the ceiling fan was not). They arrived two hours late, took out the old switch and could not figure out how to reinstall it. In the process they disconnected several lines causing various lights, vents, fans, etc., throughout the home to quit working. After three hours they quit, leaving hot electrical wires hanging out of the wall. They returned the next day (three hours later than they agreed to arrive) and spent the entire day working on the wiring trying to determine why they had broken the circuit to the other locations. I have found it challenging to get information from McLeod Electric. On more than one occasion, they did not get back to me about a price, project, or quote. In other words, it's been challenging to close the deal.

These are the worse electricians I have ever in countered. They started a job and did not finish. I had to call another electrician to redo all the work I thought MeLeod had completed. I recommend you do not call these people not even to change a light bulb.
