Mercantile Center Garage

I used this garage when I went to the BCU Center. Convenient location. It was $15 for event parking. Parking 🅿️ garage was in good shape. There was an employee helping other customers.

Their QR code, when scanned with a QR code reader will direct you to a fraudulent website!!! That website charged my card twice in the span of 30 minutes. The first charge was for $1.95, the second for $39.95. I only noticed upon leaving, when the parking attendant told me that I hadn’t paid for parking. I took my phone to show him, and he said that was not their site. He was aware of the issue, and simply stated that I had to use my camera, not the QR code reader. Really?!!! How on earth was I supposed to know that! I had cancel my card, but I’m not sure Citibank will refund the $41. I wonder how much any subsequent charge would have been!

We were charged 21$ for a day for parking here for an event at DCU center, but then there was no one to monitor a road block when the event was over. We were stuck in the 1st floor of the parking on our way to the exit for at least 30 mins. Poor traffic management.

I attended an event at the DCU yesterday January 5th and used this garage for parking. When going somewhere with children it's nice to be in short walking distance, especially in winter, so I chose this garage as it was close by and affordable. I however, cannot say that after yesterday's experience I will ever be using it again or recommending it to others. I was alone with my two children and we sat in our car for over an hour trying to get out of the lot. Within that time we never even made it close to coming off level 5, I moved out of my spot and then just sat. I made my reservation with parking whiz which I have done in the past and typically you can use the reserved spots, however there wasn't any in this garage that I noticed. Don’t ever even think of parking here for an event. It will take you well over an hour just to get into the garage and find a parking spot. They leave hundreds of spots wide-open that you have to drive by and cannot park in. Absolutely one of the most atrociously and poorly run garaged in Worcester during events at DCU
