Doug and his son were fantastic to work with. I had an unusual request of moving a studio full of woodworking equipment from Asheville, NC to Northern Virginia. Not only were they able to accommodate the request on short notice they were able to pick it up and deliver it in place in my home workshop the following day. To be clear, this is very precise equipment and very heavy. Several of the pieces were in excess of 800 lbs. Everything arrived in perfect condition. I can’t say enough about Doug and his son. Very communicative, transparent and excellent pricing. In a world where everything seems to be overpriced and service underwhelming at best, Doug and his son knocked it out of the park. We recently hired Mercy Movers to move some large items from storage as well as a large move to our new home. From the outset, Doug was very responsive in all of his communications, gave clear quotes, and was flexible to changes in schedules. Doug and his team were hardworking, efficient, and careful with our items. We were quoted for 4 movers and the team came with 2 more movers to assist with no extra charge. Doug was positive throughout the process, even when faced with unexpected logistical challenges, and consistently came through with resolutions with a cheery can do attitude. We have used many movers in the past and can definitely say that Doug and his team at Mercy Movers are the best that we have encountered and highly recommend them.
