Metal Mart #65

Don't use the Ponder Metal Mart. The guy manager is not going by company rules on returns of gate latches or pipe tubing which should be returned minus 10% or store credit. He would not refund minus the 10% and said his store has their own rules. We have bought from them for years and will never shop there again nor let any contractors who work for us purchase from them.

Old man Jim has been gone for a couple years. The new manager, Stephen, is awesome. The most helpful employee I’ve ever had at any of these metal places. He also speaks spanish!

After my project was completed I wanted to return some never opened packages of screws. Store Manager told me “I” don’t refund accessories….since when are screws that attach the metal considered an accessory? Store Manager was rude and zero customer service. Went to the Gainesville location and completed my refund with no problems and received great customer service with a smile and they were appreciative of my business. Metal Mart corporate management need to a serious look at this location and make some staffing changes…..viewpoint confirmed by the numerous bad reviews and negative comments.

They would get 5 stars if it wasn't for the lady with the red hair, that is incapable of saying, "hello, how are you, have a good day." Basic customer service skills that most teenagers understand these days at your local McDonald's. Oh and by the way they have a thousand dollar minimum if you want to use your American Express Card.

We are a local business that is adding on to our existing metal building and have stopped by here several times-only to be met with one of the rudest woman we’ve ever met. She treats you like you’ve done something personal to her. The first time we stopped by and she was rude we wrote it off as she was having a bad day. So, we stopped by again and same thing and the 3rd time was the worst. In all 3 times we have yet to buy anything. Go to the Gainesville store-the lady there is the nicest person and is willing help you and answer all you questions. We are about to spend quite a bit of money through Metal Mart but NOT at our local Ponder location we are driving 30 miles to Gainesville!!
