Metrocon

Today, while driving down Belle Shoals Road toward Easley, I passed a MetroCon truck heading toward Six Mile. As we passed each other, debris fell off their truck, striking my vehicle and causing noticeable damage. I immediately called MetroCon to report the incident and followed their request to bring my car in so they could assess the situation. After reviewing it, I was later told that they are “not liable for any damage” that occurs to other vehicles on the road — even in cases like this where debris comes from one of their trucks. I understand that accidents happen, but I wanted to share this experience so others traveling near MetroCon trucks can be aware and cautious. Very disappointed. It was the first time I ordered concrete from them, and I had to cancel. It was scheduled for 10 a.m., and it never arrived. I had to call them, and they told me 12 p.m., then 3 p.m., or that they would call me when they loaded it, even though I ordered the concrete a week in advance. I don't usually pour concrete in this area, but now that I'll be pouring around here, I'll call the company I always use, even though they're a bit farther away. They got me out of this mess on short notice because they have ethics and know how to treat their customers.

HORRIBLE, AWFUL, THE WORST. I’d give this company a negative star if I could. They were the concrete supplier for our backyard patio extension and it’s awful. It was delivered in 2 loads which apparently was an error on the subcontractors who ordered it but the loads were mixed differently by MetroCon. 1 load was clearly mixed incorrectly as our patio is 2 toned and one side looks HORRIBLE. Small egg shell cracking across the entire slab, a hideous dark gray color that makes it appear like fresh concrete not 3 month old concrete. After 3 months of dealing with our general contractor the plant owner of MetroCon came out to evaluate it and said “it doesn’t look good but it’s structurally sound” and refused to pay for more concrete to fix it. This cement company knocked my parents mailbox down and after talking with the boss man from the company on the phone he came out this morning and fixed it by installing a new mailbox. If you have any issues be sure to talk to the most respectful mam there named Rodney. Thank You for keeping your word!
