Miami Floor and Design

I worked with Miami Floor and Design for my condo renovation. I was very happy with the stone work (travertine, marble, quartzite, and quartz), it came out beautifully and deserves 4 stars. However, the cabinetry experience was a complete disappointment, and I would strongly advise against using their carpenter. We ordered painted kitchen cabinets. The first time they were installed, the finish looked like it had been painted by hand, with visible brush marks, chips, and cracks already showing. I was shocked they installed the cabinets in that condition. They repainted everything using a spray method, which improved the appearance at first—but after less than a month, the paint began chipping and cracking again, especially around the seams of our shaker-style doors. Warning: I will NEVER work with Miami Floor and Design ever again after they sold us FAULTY product/installation. The cabinetry service provided by Miami Floor and Design was a complete disaster. The initial installation of our painted cabinets was shocking, featuring visible brush marks and flaws. Even after an expensive rework to fix the finish, the paint began cracking and chipping on the door seams within a month, showing extremely poor craftsmanship. When we tried to resolve this major issue, the owner, Mary, became dismissive, attempted to charge us for the necessary repair, and eventually ghosted our repeated communications. Mary-Zaida Gutierrez is special. When you hire a contractor you expect and hope that they will be knowledgeable, helpful, organized, honest, reliable, and responsive. Especially honest. Mary-Z is all those things. ,And nice too. A pleasure to deal with. Oh, and the work is beautiful.

Recently finished the remodeling of our condo with this company and it has been a 5 Star service from day one. Not only that all the workers were reliable and punctual also the communication with Mary was easy and super fast. Each detail was discussed and executed as promised. For starters, Mary (the owner) is absolutely wonderful. She guided us through the entire design process whilst sticking to our budget. This is the kind of personalized service you can expect from this fine establishment. We refaced our kitchen cabinets, changed our countertops and backsplash as well as replaced a 10 year old carpet with beautiful flooring; the project was completed on schedule and to perfection.
