I love this store more multiple reasons, I am a teen and I got into crafts recently like pony beads, Kandi, yarn tails, yarn In general, wood and all that kind of stuff. Really great store, very huge variety. Also weirdly, they sell candy

I have always love shopping at Michaels Arts & Crafts. They have Nice Respectful Workers that has always helped me with my projects while I have grown up and Fairbanks, AK. I Would highly recommend shopping at Michaels. Because they have great displays for artwork and crafts, great beads, great crafts tools, great seasonal decorations and also great office supplies, and more. I love it when Michaels orders special items. And they (have stretchy schedules for those in need) for schooling and more.

It’s fine if you want decorative items for the home or kids art supplies but if you’re trying to get grown up art supplies, this store is hit and miss. I’ve been checking for months for them to restock watercolor brushes but they don’t and the art markers and paint pen section is dwindling fast with no restock. I’ve decided to stop torturing myself and just quit bothering to go in and I order from an art store online instead.

Every time I go here, the thick blonde lady with the bangs is always so rude. Today, she locked the door as I was walking up to pick up my pick up order, 20 minutes before closing. All I needed to do was walk in, grab a bag they already had ready by the door, and walk out. No work required from her. But she wagged her finger at me and told me they’re closed before closing time. Sadly, cancelling my order & taking my business to Amazon. I’d love to support employees in my home town, but I’m tired of being treated so rudely every time I go here. Edit: seeing a lot of others saying they’ve experienced racism here. Sad to realize that this has been happening to me, too. Do better.

If you love crafts this is the stop! I love their selection of flowers and picture frames. Their art supply selection and jewelry making section is great too! Service is quick, no lines to wait. Holiday decorations are easy to find and choose. Handicap access is nice wide isles to explore and create that project!
