Mid-Atlantic Geothermal

These guys continue to disappoint. They left our basement doors open after a service call in 10 degree weather resulting in frozen and busted pipes. Every time we have an issue with our system it's a fortune despite paying $1800 a year for a service plan. And the 10 year everything warranty they use to convince you to buy the system only covers the part, and doesn't cover labor which is the most expensive part of fixing these systems. We paid $99,381.18 for our system and it cannot keep the house warm if it's below 32 degrees outside. Their solution was for us to run our old oil boilers or install electric heat backup. If it's 32 degrees outside and a $99k heating system cannot get the house above 55 degrees something is wrong. Our electric bills on these systems are also insane $1,600 -

Mid-Atlantic installed a 4 ton Geothermal system in a challenging project. This included replacing the old oil furnace with baseboard heating in the ~ 1880's farmhouse, as well as the heating and AC in the new addition. Mid-Atlantic worked well with the owner, builder and architect to make sure that the system was installed properly, even though there were some significant challenges to installing ductwork in the old farmhouse section. The system has been operational for a complete AC and heating season and has performed as designed. The system just got its 1st annual maintenance checkup and everything checked out to the "as-new" parameters.

From the initial sales and explanation, to the installation and follow through, Mid Atlantic Geothermal was professional and great to work with. They made needing a new furnace a positive experience and we are looking forward to our first full winter of lower utility bills. Thank you to your entire team.

I used Mid-Atlantic to install a geothermal HVAC system and run new duct work throughout the house. They were professional and did a wonderful job. The system is quiet, efficient, reliable and saves me money. I'm thrilled with it. Beyond the system itself, Mid-Atlantic went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. I had an unrelated issue with a bad circuit breaker that they swapped out for me since they were on site. It saved me the cost and inconvenience of having an electrician come out. They did a great job on communicating, making sure I knew what the plan was and that I was happy with it. Doug and his service team at Mid-Atlantic Geothermal helped us out immensely this past winter. We came home from a weekend trip and discovered that a pipe within our unit was leaking, and we had no heat. They walked us through the repair process, got emergency heat working and helped uncover another issue with old faulty piping that was installed underground running into our home. Doug explained everything to us during each visit from his team and the entire repair was completed in a very timely manner. He even provided us with his cell phone number and fielded many calls from us during the repair.
