Mid-State Roofing

My mom bought a home in Coarsegold where Harold of Mid-State Roofing had “installed” a new roof about 4 years ago. Fast forward: less than 3 years later, brown stains start showing up on the drywall ceiling and side wall. Turns out the roof was already leaking, and had been since day one. But because Coarsegold hardly gets rain/snow, the damage went undetected until it was too late. When I called another roofer to inspect, they confirmed what was obvious: 8 vents were incorrectly placed and had potential for leaking. Four spots were already actively leaking. And Harold? Need a zero rating. Roof inspection for home purchase. Couple months later when it rained the roof leaked. They never came out, multiple calls and texts. Owner (Harold) flat out lied to my realtor that everything was taken care of. Complaint to BBB which closed with their failure to even respond.

The owner sold me on his experience and expertise, then sent a team of workers that did a shoddy job. That being said, he came back himself and made everything right. He just has to either personally supervise the job or do it himself. Don't send inexperienced workers!

We’ve now had the good fortune to have Mid-State do new roofs for our two housing structures. For both of these, it was a pleasure to work with Harold and the rest of his team, as the material was top-notch, the work was done well, completed rapidly, all complications and issues were dealt with effectively (really important for us as one of the new roofs involved a solar panel uninstall and reinstall), and it was all competively priced. Bottom line: They are our first choice for our future roofing projects AND we have recommended them for your roofing needs.
