Midwest Fence & Gate

After a mess of an appointment, I’ve had to nearly beg for a week now to get my quote but I just keep getting the runaround. 1-star is too many. My girlfriend was closing on a new house, and wanted me to get some quotes for fencing in the backyard. I found Midwest suggested on a local forum so they were my first call. Setting up an appointment for a quote was simple, but unfortunately that would be the one and only simple task with them. The day of my appointment, someone was supposed to meet me at the house at 10am. I showed up about 5 til and sat in the driveway for 15 minutes. I called the number to just make sure the appointment hadn’t been forgotten and was told by the (third party) receptionist that she’d reach out to Sean to see where he was at. She got no response when she called

Our fence blew down in March of 2025. I contacted Midwest Fence and they came out and gave me a very reasonable estimate. We have a pool and there are two small children next door. The salesman understood my concern for their safety and the urgency to get the fence repaired quickly. He got the fence repaired in a very timely manner and we were very happy with the result. We decided use Midwest to install a fence at our rental property. We have been trying to get someone to return our calls since May, someone finally came out to give us an estimate but we never received any communication after they came out. It is now the end of September and we have given up.

Midwest Fence & Gate installed 320’ of red cedar privacy fence around our home. They are prompt; and offer a quality job at a reasonable price. Sean was always available. We have received so many compliments on how beautiful our new fence is.

So I found Midwest Fence and Gate on Reddit- since google is a disaster with finding quality- and I just gotta say, this company was fantastic to work with. These guys came out in January to do an overview, and it was a great price. I had 3 other companies come out to check and everyone said it would be more expensive by at least a thousand. Several months later we finally had our funds ready and called about the original bid from January. They fully understood our situation and said we could go with the original quote! We were so happy with the amount! When they came and did the replacement, it took only 1 day. The fence looks GREAT! Thank you guys!

These guys were very responsive and proactive in their communication, and built us a great fence at a fair price! Truly a refreshingly great experience in home maintenance from beginning to end. Maybe I would stay on top of things more if all experiences were this good! =) Highly recommend!
