Millbrae Lock

I had an old mailbox key to duplicate. It's an old design and needs to be recut/adjusted multiple times until it works. This place tried once, gave up and just told me to leave after refunding money. Well thanks for refunding but I'm still out of a key. I solo parent and have medical issues, so it was very difficult to come in here two times with a baby, only to be told they can't duplicate my key. I do think if you have a regular house key you'd do fine here. I would come back again if I had a common key to duplicate but would look elsewhere for unusual keys. Giving one star since my needs weren't met. In the end I had to go somewhere else and they explained why this particular key needs multiple attempts, and they were good about trying until it worked.

After wasting my time with Key Express up the street, I called Millbrae Lock and asked if they cut transponder keys. No need to program, just cut the keys. They said they could do it and the cost to cut key each key was $6. That's all I wanted. This is a true lock shop and tons of service. My keys were cut quickly and when I tested them opening up my van, they worked perfectly. Great customer service. Great price. Great people.

Great service. Great price. Claudio helped fix our front door lock that I had attempted to fix, and went above-and-beyond with getting the lock and door working perfectly. I had attempted to repair the lock myself but got to a point where I was afraid I'd break something if I went further. It turned out to be an easy fix that just needed the know-how of an experienced professional. Millbrae Lock will be my 1st call when I'm in need of a locksmith in the area.
