The machine tries to upsell you at the point of sale to a better high-quality key for a couple dollars more. Tactics like that lie somewhere in between admitting your default product isn’t very good and squeezing more revenue out of the consumer, both of which I hate. They also send follow up emails asking you to leave a review. Just sell me my product and stop trying to contact me, I don’t need all the paperwork for a key. The key itself is fine but the interactions are unsavory. The key cutting kiosk at Lowe’s has never tried to upsell me or send me follow up emails.
