Passed by the rainbow caterpillar off the expressway a couple years back and wanted to check this place out when back in the area. Well, got a chance to see it up close. However, they did paint it white now and has cowboy boots painted across the bottom. Pretty cute. Found out though, there is a community of domes nestled behind it and a construction office on site so I stopped. I find the domes super interesting and was able to get some information on building a dome abode. They have built domes of all sizes all over the world. They are pretty awesome. Definitely an interesting and informative stop. Glad I did.

Very cool place. You can walk inside a dome home, a dome studio, and a long dome they call the Caterpillar. The staff is nice and helpful. Great way to build a home that is fire proof, earthquake proof and hurricane proof.
