Very dissatisfied! The dryer replacement was a low end model, certainly not what I expected. Also the pricing was not communicated at all! I paid for delivery and hook up, the guys who delivered it didn’t have the gas hose to connect it. We had to go out and purchase one for $30 and have it hooked up. They were suppose to remove the old dryer but they didn’t have room for all of it. The drum and front of my old dryer were left on my basement floor. When I called about all of this, I was told they would refund me $200 for the hookup and removal that I didn’t receive, but 5 days later I still have not gotten the refund. I have called and gotten an AI answering service. Bottom line, I would never recommend them and am filing a BBB claim.

I was called early in the morning of my appointment day and immediately the lady at motor city appliance was apologizing for missing my appointment the day before. I explained my appointment was today and she said quickly stammered something about thanking for confirming and we hung up. First sign something was off. Then when the appointment time came and went (12 pm) I called them and was told it’s not a specific time but a window, which in my case is 12-3 . News to me but fine. Hear nothing till after 5pm, when the tech calls and explains they got backed up but would be to my house in 1 to 1.5 hours. Fine, glad you’re coming. They show around 630, conclude the timer is broken and that it makes more sense to buy a new unit since mine is 20 years old. It was when they were getting read

If your tech says they'll be back in the morning with the parts to complete the repair then they need to be back in the morning or your office needs to call to update on scheduling. The AI on the phone can't answer any meaningful questions or provide updates on status. I'm pretty sure I can get Thoron and Grooms out tomorrow to do a gas line repair. They'll probably even have the parts on the truck. It shouldn't take a Google review to get in touch, but here we are. You can issue a full refund or your tech can be here by 4:00. I really can't be turning the gas off any later then that, but I'm calling my card company tomorrow. I can't keep trying to work with a company I can't talk to. Edit: Wow. There was no work completed. If you think there was then you've got bigger problems t

The first time I called my call was answered promptly and the person on the phone was polite and helpful, a tech was sent the same day to assess our dryer. That was the only good interaction. That was 12/22. The first tech that came diagnosed the dryer and told my husband he needed to pay the estimated price for the full repair so they could order the part. The first tech said they would call us after Christmas to set up when they could come back. I never got a call. I called them back repeatedly starting 12/29, each time I called an AI receptionist answered. I requested the AI receptionist to send them a message at least 3 times and never got a call. My husband put up a 1 star review on 1/5 and a second tech came to the house that afternoon. Apparently the first tech had been fired and th

I would definitely recommend Motor City Appliance Repair for your repair needs. They are very professional and friendly. They constantly keep you informed and up to date. They give you a 1/2 hr courtesy call when coming out to your house. Orlando came and assessed the repair for our washer and Chandler did the repair. Very courteous and knowledgeable. Took time and answered all our questions. I had decided to amend my rating do to a disagreement with the final repair of my washer. I feel the repair has been incomplete because the recalibration after installing parts needed to be done but motor city disagreed. They replaced the control board and pump which got my washer working again but the calibration they did still wasn’t correct and they felt something else is wrong and I disagree es
