Mowatt Lane Parking Garage

Friend had a permit for lot 19. Was parked in lot 19. Got a ticket for parking in lot U2 (wth). Both appeals denied. Idk what's worse, DOTS or this garage.

Mowatt has PREDATORY parking/ticketing policy. As you cannot reserve parking in the visitor parking for 7am unless you wake up at 6:55am and pay it. If you try and reserve the night before, the app will take your money and start the “count down” even though you don’t need to pay between 12-7am. Its a scam, and really unfortunate because I see people get ticketed all the time. And its a $50-85 per offense. You also can’t tell if you’ve been ticketed through the app, so if you wake up 5-10 minutes late to try and pay it will still take your money even though you have been ticketed so you’re double paying the fine and the daily fee. It’s such a scam and they make so much money off people making small mistakes whenever they can.

Too few visitor spaces, and always reserved for events. I don't understand why a university this size doesn't make separate event parking.
