I’ve got nearly a decade of experience inspecting cell towers as a certified welding inspector. Saw a crew working in Alamosa and figured I’d be friendly and say hello — that’s how you meet good people in this industry, after all. Instead, I was met by a German Shepherd barking and baring its teeth inches from my arm, and a foreman who couldn’t be bothered to muster a word beyond making it clear I was annoying him for daring to walk up. Ever heard of professional networking? No? Then maybe at least keep your dog on a leash next time you’re out on a job site in the middle of town.

We were out camping near Engineer trailhead not far from Silverton, a cell tower was nearby, men were working on the tower over several days. On the last day we were there they were playing music so loud we could hear the wotds, which were crude, to the rap music. The music is what woke us up in the morning. There was another camper nearby and dozens of hikers which also could not avoid the music. We didn't approach the workers because we didn't want an argument with them. MRC employees working in public places should show more respect for those around them.
