Phenomenal Experience with MT General Contruction – Highly Recommend We purchased our new home in November 2024 and decided to tackle some basic renovations, including a full interior paint job. My wife reached out to MT General Contruction based on recommendations from friends, and we couldn’t be happier that she did. Living in PA, we’ve learned that while everyone claims to be a handyman, it often turns into a one-man show with little commitment to timelines (we’ve been burned before). That was not the case with Mike. Mike showed up the day after we closed on the house, listened to our ideas, and—most impressively—never pushed unnecessary work. Mike and his crew turned our Pocono "Murder House" - a little joke between us based on the way the house initially looked - into an Airbnb-ready home that we can be proud of. The job included i. restoring an old deck by building a new railing and staircase, ii. painting the entire interior of the home, iii. replacing drywall in two bedrooms, iv. gutting and remodeling an entire bathroom, v. renovating a second bathroom with a new shower and new tile, vi. installing new lighting and smoke detectors in all four upstairs bedrooms and the upstairs hallway, vii. replacing a ventless propane fireplace (that was leaving residue everywhere) with a new electric fireplace and tile surround, and viii. creating a new game room from two existing upstairs bedrooms and installing new flooring in it. Mike S. and his team are great to work with. We chose M&T after receiving quotes from four different contractors and M&T was the most comprehensive and pricing was reasonable. Our original work was to build a 12x12 addition, 8x40 deck with rails, new roofing, and siding to the entire house. We added extra work as the construction was going on and Mike was very accommodating and professional. The project was completed in three months, and we are so happy. We have a brand-new house thanks to Mike and his crew, especially Tony and Carlos. We will use Mike of M&T again in the future.

We heard about Mike at M&T from a friend of a friend and got a quote from him for a kitchen remodel. We decided to go with M&T for the job and do not regret the choice. Mike has been super responsive throughout the entire job, his crew were on time and great to work with. We were given the choice to use his cabinet and flooring guys or provide our own materials. Overall the job was completed in the estimated timeframe with the only delays being due to waiting for inspection and waiting for countertops. The electrical inspector even commented on the quality of the work, stating "wow, these guy really know what they're doing!" Highly recommend going with Mike and will be calling him again for future projects!
