We worked with Mike to restore our old hardwood floors that had been covered by some terribly worn linoleum for 60+ years (see before photos here). The hardwood floors had never been finished, so they were raw, stained and in pretty rough shape after being covered by deteriorating underlayment and tar paper, but we desperately wanted to save them rather than cover them again. We had a couple of flooring people turn us down for the project after seeing the photos since there were so many nails in the wood and old tar paper stuck to the surface, but Mike was up for the challenge and was completely undeterred. We hired Mike to remove carpeting and install hardwood floors throughout our 2400 sq ft home. Mike worked alone, fast and efficient. We could not believe that one man could do such an awesome job.
