I had an exhaust vent on the roof that needed to be sealed and the water had leaked down under the roof into the plywood. It all needs to be replaced. The extent of the damage was quite bad. Not only did he replace the exhaust vent, the plywood, as well as seal all the other vents sticking out on the roof, to ensure I didn’t have any future problems he went above and beyond and laid a special type of waterproof weathering protection.
