National Insurance Inspection Services

This was one of the most troubling experiences I’ve had with any inspection service. The inspector explicitly told my husband she only needed photos of the front of the home. Despite that, she proceeded to enter and photograph the rear yard, pool area, and sides of the property without permission. That is a serious breach of trust and raises immediate concerns about professionalism and adherence to scope. The report then went further and referenced asbestos — without any sampling, testing, or involvement of a licensed asbestos professional. Asbestos cannot be identified by visual observation alone, and including an unsupported hazardous material designation in an insurance inspection report is reckless. If I could leave negative stars I would. This guy (Nick, Minnesota) showed up and wasted my entire day. He was late to start off with. This guy showed up and asked if I got a Radon inspection. He then proceeded to tell me that I should have gotten a test and that Iowa has the highest concentration of Radon in the country. That is a super neat fact but this property was in Northern MN more than 7 hour drive from Iowa. He asked why there was no vapor barrier in the crawl space. There is no moisture down there so why would there be a vapor barrier. He said he was just there to make sure everything was "safe". That is part of the cities rental license inspection. I wish I could give them zeroes. Worst company ever; they hire the most unprofessional people to work on behalf of insurance companies, and they just do not do their jobs well. How my insurance company used these people for anything is beyond me.

USAA hired these jokers to inspect my home. Like others. I am extremely displeased. A guy showed up, took a bunch of photos and was gone inside 10 minutes. Then he filed a totally inaccurate report- didn't even get the number of bedrooms right. Appox 2 dozen other mistakes. Now USAA will not remove his fradulent report from my folder until National sends out a new inspector. After reading these reviews, I don't expect the new one to be much better.

CAUSED MY INSURANCE POLICY TO BE CANCELLED: They were given the wrong phone number for me, so they never contacted me to schedule a day and time for the inspection. Since I live in a gated community, they also need the gate code to access the property. A couple of weeks later, my insurance broker informed me that my policy was at risk of being canceled if the inspection wasn’t completed within two weeks—despite a holiday during that time. I called the insurance company, and they assured me they would request another inspection. However, when I followed up a week later, they said they couldn’t extend the cancellation deadline and were still waiting on the inspection company.
