My child has been fencing with NEFA for 5 years. Michael is an amazing coach and mentor for his young fencers. From the moment my child first expressed interest he made it clear that the primary goal was to learn and enjoy the sport of fencing. His love of the sport and his genuine support of his fencers is clearly evident and we feel so fortunate to be part of NEFA. If you are not sure if fencing is right for your child, give it a try - Michael makes it easy for kids to get exposure to fencing and the kids have a blast!

I have had my son enrolled in New England Fencing Alliance for over 3 years. My son started quite young and Coach Michael is a master at balancing both learning the sport of fencing and fun. I can honestly say that this program builds fencing skills, personal growth and character building. I once again have signed up for another several sessions as this has now become a passion for my son and I am amazed at his growth in fencing and as a young man. I very highly recommend this program!

Michael is a wonderful, thoughtful coach that knows how to let the kids learn and have fun. He is stern with his fencers when needed and always tells parents the truth. Both my sons were in his fencing program in Arlington, MA for several years. We would still be with him if we had not moved to NH. When you see him in action, you will know how passionate he is about fencing and teaching fencing to children. I cannot recommend Michael's fencing program strongly enough.

It wasn't just the fencing that kept me attending, it was the family dynamic and the life-long friendships that I found along the way. This club gave me the opportunity to enjoy the simple pleasures of being a kid, while also teaching me work ethic, among many important lessons in becoming an adult.
