Nichols & Phipps Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning

It's been an adventure just trying to hire someone to replace our water heater- out of 4 places we called to get estimates, Nichols and Phipps was hands down the most responsive, reasonable and personable. There is a whole story here but bottom line is, we went with Nichols and Phipps, their installation was great (I have hot water!) and they came back because to get the new water heater down the 84 year old basement staircase a door and frame had to be removed, so a very handy person reinstalled our frame and door. I highly recommend them.

Ky and the Nichols & Phipps team worked with me all day from 8am-4pm on the Saturday of MLK Day weekend to fix a very old oil furnace that needed hard-to-source parts. They tracked down the parts, called every oil vendor in the DC area to find someone who would come out on Saturday, and assured me that they would be with me until it was repaired. They even texted me that evening to make sure it was still working properly. If you want knowledgeable technicians and caring service, you cannot beat Nichols & Phipps.

I recently had Nichols Phipps replace my sump pump and extending a water line from our well, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the work Steve and Edgar, did. Steve arrived on time, diagnosed the issue, and explained everything clearly. Edgar was just as professional—efficient, courteous, and great at assisting with the installation. The job was done smoothly, and they made sure everything was running perfectly before leaving. Their teamwork, attention to detail, and overall professionalism really stood out. Nick and his team did an outstanding job replacing all water supply lines in my new home. He was responsive, professional, tidy, on time and went above and beyond expectations to ensure the finished project was top quality and that I was happy. He also helped to connect me with an excellent drywall repair contractor - the whole experience could not have been better. Additionally, Ky came by to correct an issue with HVAC. He was also outstanding, great work product, professional, gave me great peace of mind. After he left I promptly signed up for annual maintenance with the company because I am now a loyal customer! Excellent Service from Ky at Nichols and Phipps I recently had the pleasure of working with Ky from Nichols and Phipps, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the service! Ky installed two filter boxes, an easy trap kit, a gas union fitting, and even went above and beyond by rerouting all the wires to make sure everything was neat and out of the way.
