Nielsen Blacktopping

I have used Nielsen's for my business and residential and have been very impressed with their work and professionalism. They are always prompt and meet any deadline of times that they promise.

Watched this crew screw up three driveways (likely foremans fault), and then on the re-do project attempt to pave in the rain. Yikes.

They'll be quick to acknowledge a signed estimate and to cash your check, but otherwise won't respond to questions or complaints about service. The estimator didn’t return messages over the course of six weeks, including when to expect the work to begin/how much notice I'd get (I found out when they showed up on the street that I had 4 days notice). If I had been on vacation, would I have come home to a driveway I didn’t approve the layout for? He showed up when I wasn’t home and spray-painted the driveway layout, which was incorrect. It didn’t include the parking pad included in my estimate. I had to flag him down to redraw it. (The only times I spoke to that guy was when he showed up unannounced - all 3 times: the estimate (which he didn’t return my call about; I had to flag him down whi

I was completely impressed by the work from this company! They replaced my asphalt driveway that was falling apart and during the process of removal found a concrete driveway underneath (a total surprise)--they took this in stride and returned the next morning to remove the concrete and complete the prep work for the new asphalt. The employees were very polite, positive, and helpful in answering all my questions--as was the secretary that I spoke with to set up the job. They do exceptional work for an affordable price. I strongly recommend their service!

Did work on my sidewalk and screwed it up both times. I was even right there when they were doing it and explained why it was getting done a 2nd time. Still messed it up! Now they are patching the roads in university Park with their music blasting (cant even hear my TV!), smoking in the work trucks, cussing, etc. I could go on and on about this place! Terrible terrible terrible!!!
