I highly recommend NorWest if you need to replace your PTAC unit. I shopped around and the price was very competitive. Their reputation was good so I went with them. The service is very good. I asked a ton of questions and got everything answered. They took my calls when I called. Maureen really is the PTAC Queen. Also the entire team was very helpful. If you're stressing over your nonfunctional PTAC unit, give them a try.

We've had Norwest for years and while we have been generally satisfied with the service for our five units, today marked the worst experience we've had. Miguel and another man came to deliver and install our repaired unit. When I asked them to put on foot covers (as I always do over the years with every Norwest service man) Miguel said no. We had an exchange about this. Then I asked if the other man could at least put the foot covers on so that I have less dirt and germs tracked into my house from outside shoes onto my white floors. The other man also refused. I couldn't understand the refusal because Miguel and others have always taken my foot covers and they have always been professional in the past. We had a very disappointing experience with NorWest AC & Heating Service Corp. In 2021, they installed our AC unit, and now, during the extreme cold weather in New York, a critical part of the unit has broken, leaving us without proper heating. We have a NEWBORN baby!!!, and the cold in our home has made this situation urgent. We tried scheduling an appointment, explaining our circumstances, and even offered to pay extra to expedite the service. Despite this, the company could only schedule us for February 4th—an entire week away! We also asked if we could purchase the necessary part directly from them so another technician could install it sooner, but they refused. Their unwillingness to accommodate or show any flexibility, even under such serious circumstances, demonstrates a complete

I’m writing this late as initially I was satisfied with the service I got from Antonio and Francis. They came to deal with a clogged drain on a PTAC unit in August. Fast forward to December, there was no heat coming from the unit. Called Nor-West and there weren’t any service openings for weeks. It was 50 degrees inside so I needed someone ASAP. Called a local appliance repair and he came same day. Found out that the wires for the heat were disconnected. They also did something to the zone valve which needed to be replaced. Makes sense since heat worked the previous winter. So it looks like Antonio and Francis were making sure they’d get a return visit. I will not use this company ever again, even if their prices are better than competitors. Beware!
