Rodney reassured me they could fix our nearly 34 yr old Maytag dryer if I put it in our porch (for family member health reason they respected without comment or question) and played them a recording. At least five or six other companies said no. Peyton, the very nice and competent repair person, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Also made sure other parts were in decent shape and replaced if they were not or if they were very old to prevent future issues. I put the dryer back in the house while Peyton waited for me to plug it in and record how it sounded. It sounded quieter than it has in a decade if not new. Thank you very much to both of you for working with me to get the dryer repaired. (They updated me with texts). We'll call again if need be. … I never write reviews.. But you

A technician came out early December 2025 to evaluate repairs for an ice maker and dishwasher. He let me know what each needed, and estimated the cost. He said that the company would call me when the parts came in and to schedule repairs. He took my $150, and I never heard back from them again. I gave them grace with the delay, called five weeks later, thinking that the Christmas holiday may have backed up services. I left a message, then missed a return call from a very flustered office person. I called right back, was told that she was gone for the day and that she would return my call promptly the next day. That’s been at least two weeks now and I still have not heard back from them. I wouldn’t mind so much if only I could get the exorbitant visit fee refunded.

I had a positive experience. Peyton was very personable. He explained everything clearly, gave me all of the available options, and fixed my washer in a timely manner. He did a great job. I highly recommend.

Highly recommend North Star Appliance, and if you are lucky enough to have Payton as your repairman, you hit the jackpot. Fair pricing and dedicated work ethic. Despite being held up at another job, Payton made sure he made it to repair our refrigerator on the scheduled day. I am grateful to have found an honest, reliable appliance repair company. Thank you!
