To be honest, I am very reluctant to write this review. Not because I have any hesitation about recommending Ocean Break Construction or its owner, Peter. No, rather, I feel like I am sharing a secret that every homeowner covets - the name of the best contractor in the area. Yes, I am being selfish, but good, dependable and fairly priced contractors have always been almost impossible to find no matter where you live in this country (and all the good ones are tied up with a backlog of projects for months). But I am going to bite the bullet and tell you my secret about this incredible contractor. In August 2024, I hired Peter to gut and renovate our duplex. Four month later, the place is done, and virtually everyone who visits us comments unprompted on the workmanship of the renovatio

Peter and his team just remodeled my second bathroom in the last year. They did an amazing job completely gutting my bathroom and rebuilding it to our spec (the pictures speak for themselves). They are thorough, quick and competitively priced. I couldn’t be happier and highly recommend them.

Before I begin my review of Ocean Break Construction, let me tell you a little about were I am coming from. I spent most of my life doing my own projects and repairs mostly because I lost faith and patience for so-called tradesmen who ended up disappointing me, so I ended up learning to do things myself. As I got older, I did have to start hiring people, and at this point in my life I have only hired three companies who I can say have been excellent. One of them is Ocean Break Construction. If this review sounds a little too good to be true, that is because my standards are high, and Pete deserves an outstanding review. I find that people tend to write long detailed reviews when they have had a negative experience. I think it is important to provide details when an experience is positive

Peter Walsh and his team at Ocean Break did an amazing job transforming our RI house. Not only did they accomplish major renovations efficiently and economically, but Peter made many aesthetic recommendations that were spot on. And Peter is just great to work with. Can’t recommend these guys highly enough!

Peter and his team were wonderful to work with. They added my beautiful front porch, and it came out beyond my expectations. It's just stunning. It was such a smooth and easy process working with him. Peter and his team worked hard and created a beautiful addition to our home. I hope to enjoy our porch for many years to come.
