Old Village Master Painters, Ltd.

We hired Old Village for restoration work on a historic 19th century house. The whole experience was a mess from beginning to end, with significant issues involving quality, inexplicable delays and high-pressure attempts to jack up the price key features of the work. Worst, though, was when they lied about paying a subcontractor and led both the sub and us on for several months. We finally decided to terminate our relationship, leaving significant work left undone, because we simply did not trust them to finish. Simply the worst home improvement experience of my life.

We hired Old Village Master Painters to restore our kitchen cabinets and paint them white, while away for a weekend getaway. When we returned my wife was stunned. She couldn't believe the cabinets had been restored and repainted, she legitimately believed they were brand new cabinets. That is the quality you can expect from Old Village Master Painters. Their staff was courteous, respectful of our home and belongings, and when they were doing prep-work while I was home, I didn't even notice they were here working. I simply cannot recommend Old Village Master Painters highly enough! We plan on hiring them for any and all future painting, remodeling, or home improvement jobs!

Do not use this contractor. They do not have enough cash to operate. They improperly took completion payments for work they had not done, and never returned to my job site. I have reported them to the Pennsylvania AG's office. Owner maintains "he will try to pay me back" but is still "unable to work."

Horrible experience with window restoration- felt like a chaotic ripoff from beginning to end (I terminated the engagement even though 13 windows were still boarded up at our house). Can't say much more in case I prejudice a potential lawsuit, but I really want people to be warned.
