Olsen Chimney and Wood Burning

I called them because they were closer to Winter Park than the Denver based companies but they just subcontracted the job out to Coolerado Pro who charged me an extra $330 in service call fees because the job was far from Denver. The price for having my wood-burning stove cleaned was also significantly higher than they quoted over the phone.

Another no show story…..When appointment was scheduled, I provided address. I called to verify the appointment when I had not heard from them. I was then given a 2 hour service window. No show. I called and was told they cancelled due to not being within their service area. They did not have courtesy to even call!!!! I can only imagine the type of poor service I would have received based on their lack of customer service.

Olsen Chimney and Wood Burning was very responsive to my emails and was able to schedule my appointment quickly. The technician, Joe was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. It was a very pleasant experience overall and I would use them again.

Ross has unusual integrity and I'd recommend him to anyone. He has a pleasant demeanor and works quickly and thoroughly. He was honest that my chimney didn't need cleaning, but showed me that I had a bad downdraft. It turns out my steel liner isn't insulated (poor installation), so that explains the downdraft. I wish he had installed it instead of the Lakewood company I bought my pricey stove from. He's the real deal.

I found the chimney sweep service to be outstanding. The technician was highly detailed and clarified each step of the cleaning procedure. I am now assured that my chimney is secure.
