I can't say enough great things about Michael and his team, who, in the space of a week, have transformed my dirt patch yard with crumbling shed into an absolute outdoor Oasis. I only wish I had taken some before pics for comparison! The crew was meticulous and very nice to my bratty pup who 'greeted' them every morning... This is my second project with Michael, and already looking forward to the next! Would not work with any other landscaper in Austin.

Michael and his team recently xeriscaped a large portion of our 8,000 sq ft backyard. They started work on Monday morning and transferred and packed down 25 cubic yards of crushed granite to our backyard within 4.25 days! Amazing work from him and his team. We are extremely happy with the way things turned out. His crew kept everything tidy and always got to work on time right at 8 am and were very courteous not to be disruptive if they knew we were still home. We needed a landscape refresh after a few years of drought and flood took a toll on the appeal of our yard. Michael Olson was extremely responsive and easy to with. He had great ideas about water-wise plants to use and redid much of our yard with stone. He also reconfigured part of our existing sprinkler system to work well with the new plants. He kept me informed about when he was going to start, and his crew was courteous and the work was done well and within a couple of days. Michael was also very kind and respectful and did a couple of nice things such as fix a hinge on our gate and later, come back to attend to an unrelated maintenance issue on the sprinkler. Highly recommend this great local business!

Finding a quality landscaping company in Austin is almost next to impossible. My husband and I preferred to deal with our terrible (and potentially hazardous) backyard for two years because we couldn't find one that was responsive, courteous, or affordable. Thanks to Olson Outdoor, our backyard received much-needed grading, a retaining wall, and a beautiful flagstone pathway along the backside of our house. It was a functional and aesthetic improvement, and we love to spend time outside again! Michael, the owner, was patient with our questions, and provided us with options that worked within our budget. We also appreciated his attention to detail. We'll definitely call him again for a second phase when we're ready for it!

Olson Outdoor did a great job fixing a drainage problem on one side of my house that another company had botched, previously. My property is on a slight incline and heavy rains brings a ton of water to one side of the house. A few years back, I had it repaired by a *different* company, which installed a french drain to get rid of the water. After a few heavy rains, it was pretty clear this fix didn't solve the problem. When Michael came by to give a quote, he saw the french drain and said that that's almost never the right solution to these types of drainage problems. He recommended a swale (I think that's the right term), which meant removing a good bit of soil, adding a steel retaining wall, and covering with river rock.
