Overhead Door Company of Bountiful

Have had a terrible experience with these guys. I feel like some of them tried really hard to do what they could to make up for it, others didn't care. We had about a half dozen visits, before i ultimately went somewhere else, and paid far more to have a company redo/replace everything i had just wasted so much on. Starting with the receptionist that took the call and scheduled us... The appointment window vs when the technician arrived. Most visits were off by literally days. It got to the point i fully expected scheduling them with a couple hours window, meant more like "sometime in the next week". The first salesmen that sold us the new doors, motors, seals etc. We spent over $10k on. He seemed nice, seemed to know what he was talking about, he showed up on time. He was a bit pushy in

Forgot to post this from way back when but here it is. We called this company for a basic repair. First red flag. Their dispatcher said "our tech will arrive some time in the next week". About as vague of a time frame as possible. 5 days went by. Started getting other bids. Average bid was about 1300-1500$. OHD tech shows up, basically out of the blue. At first we assumed he was a soliciter, then realized he was from OHD. I explained to him the very vague scheduling, and that days had passed, but agreed since he was here might as well have him look. Even the tech had said "Yeah this happens all the time, we are having some issues with dispatch communication" which if this is a regular things, thats even worse. For the record most other companies were 2-4hour windows. The cherry on top.

I was very impressed by the friendly greeting and professional way I was treated by Shawn Brady the service manager at Overhead Door. Shawn evaluated my problem and sold me parts to remedy my concern. It is seldom to be treated like a friend on a first meeting. We have had our garage overhead door for some time now and because of your service department it will be around for some time to come. Shawn assured that your service department was second to none. I reflected on how pleased we have been with our door and service personnel for over twenty years. You are fortunate to have Shawn as a service manager. I made an appointment for Sept. 22. The tech was going to be there around 10 - 12. When the tech didn't show up by 2 I gave them a call. I spoke with a very nice and professional named Shawn Bradley. (Service Manager) There had been some confusion with the scheduling. However, Bradley informed me he would be there after work to take care of the garage door. He came and fixed the door on his own time. This guy was so great and very informative on the repair of the door. He was happy to explain everything you should do to your door to keep it working good. I would highly recommend this company. More companies need people like Shawn.

Very experienced technician, Oakland H., provided astute troubleshooting and diagnostics and professional, respectful customer service and support. He was able to fix the problem on-the-spot in most efficient and effective manner! If my security door needs anything in future I will certainly request him as my service technician again! Thanks!
