So I’m a 66 yr old disable Vet fighting cancer. Booby Reese, the Mgr. basically ripped me off on 28 tons of gravel for $1109.00. Charging 2 to 3 times the haul rate. If I hadn’t needed it really bad, I’d never used him. So if you’re looking for a company and Mgmt that are fair dealers, move on. I’d given a 10th of a star I could. I would deal with Booby Reese on anything unless you want to feel completely taken advantage of like myself.

We've had Padco do several jobs for our development in West Jefferson over the years and have been very satisfied with the work. Padco did a couple more jobs for us July 2023. Very happy with the work.

If you’re considering a gravel delivery from this company.. look somewhere else. Michael, the manager of this department is extremely incompetent. First, he’s going to be hard to get ahold of. You’re going to be told he’ll call you back and then he will never follow up. Second, he’ll say that he will tell you when the trucks will come and then they’ll just show up without notice because he’s too busy to actually do his job. Last, he’ll tell you he can’t have drivers deliver until ‘tomorrow’ and then when ‘tomorrow’ comes he’ll say it’ll need to be the next day. So if you have any sort of time sensitive plans for needing an order... I’d highly recommend working with another company. This guy needs the boot. Padco Excavating is the worst Excavating Company in Ashe County. I paid them $4,500 to do a job at my house on Laurel Mountain and they only did it half way and will not come back and finish the job. Travis that owns the company is an idiot, no professionalism, will not follow up and when I call to ask when he is going to complete the job, he hangs up on me. Do not use this company, don't waste you time and effort.. Doug Lea Laurel Mountain Estates. They don't deserve even one Star.
