Painting With Pride

Excellent experience from St Clair Shores. The work was done in a timely manner-Polite-Professional-good eye for detail. 2nd time I hired them and there will be a third time. They were wonderful for decorating advice and wall repairs. Organized and experience shows from the first day.

Don't hire this company. Amy Evans stole my $350 deposit and gave me the run-around for a week about a start date, which was supposed to be about a week later. The day before they were supposed to start painting, she couldn't even give me a time when they'd arrive that day. The day of the start of painting she called me to advise she had an "emergency" which sounded fabricated. After being put off for over 2 weeks, I asked for my deposit back, which is when her real personality emerged and she dropped the fake, sickeningly sweet persona. She promised to put my deposit in the mail within a week, but needless to say, she never did. She even chose to ignore the police after I filed a police report about her theft. If you don't want your money stolen, go with someone else.

DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE MONEY! John and Amy Evans are thieves! I hired them as well as my neighbor. They took our deposits and never showed up to do the work. We have been trying for over a year to get out deposits back, a total of $1500. They only have excuses about sending our money back “next week”. We should have read reviews. We’ve contacted the police.

Amy and John are CROOKS, they will happily contract to do your painting job, take your deposit, promise to return on a specific date but they never do. They make numerous promises to return your deposit, but they never do. If you want to throw away your money, then contract with Painting With Pride!  I have no other choice but to sue in small claims court!

DO NOT do business with these people. They took our $400 deposit (50% of the quote) and never showed up or returned our phone calls!!! We have been trying to reach them for a year now just to get our deposit returned but they will not call us back. Terrible!!
