Parking Deck 3 - Rutgers University - Newark

If I could give this deck zero stars I really would. You can barely park here from 7 am-4pm since Rutgers doesn’t seem to penalize people who park in the safety zones near the exit doors and park on the sides of the tightly packed deck. You can’t even drive around some floors and get to an actual parking spot due to people throwing their cars in park wherever they please in this deck. They also do NOT have security cameras contrary to popular belief. I hope Rutgers Newark representatives observe and consider these reviews, and use their observations to re-assess how many spots they have available in their parking decks compared to how many permits they give out to whomever buys them.

Very tight parking garage. I got a bit nervous about dinging my car the first couple of times that I came here, but I got used to it. A lot of security with cameras all over the place which is nice. Just docking it one star because RIP anyone who comes during peak hours which is around noon as there will not be a parking space in sight, and people continuously park in non-parking spaces which makes the garage tighter than it alreay is.

Today I went for orientation with my younger sister and the lady who worked their was BEYOND RUDE. I had an emergency and instead told her I dropped off my sister. She then proceeded to say “drop off is over there don’t come back here.” LIKE WHO SAYS THAT TO PEOPLE. THANK GOD I DONT GO TO RUTGERS because if i had to see that lady everyday i most likely would hate it.

Parking garage in Newark. It is a bit crowded and more expensive than average. But it fills up quickly. Getting in and out can be tricky in tight quarters and narrow driving lanes.

Safe parking area, with plenty of security
