Payless Sewer & Septic

Results may vary, was quoted an astronomical amount (12K) to fix my septic problem spring of 2025. They gave a pathetic solution that would have "decorated" my backyard with several of those big ugly green candy cane shaped vent pipes. Mr. Rooter in Muncie fixed the issue permanently for less than 2K and I couldn't be happier with Mr. Rooter!

15-20 yrs ago they replaced my sewer line from the house to the road. This should have lasted me my entire lifetime, however it was replaced again yesterday. The unfortunate part was what was found when my yard was dug up, nothing was up to code even for 20 yrs ago. It was obviously never inspected… there were sooo many issues caused by their “cheap” ways. Not only did they do a crap job they left a ton of trash in the trench and buried it, even their McDonald’s trash !! Thankfully the company I used this time was so gracious and spent hours sifting through dirt getting as much trash out as possible. I DO NOT recommend Payless at all. If you’ve used them you might want to hire another company with a camera to make sure you didn’t get taken for your money too.

I recently had a disappointing experience with Payless Septic & Sewer Co and feel compelled to share my negative review. Initially, I chose this company due to their competitive pricing, but my dealings with them left me thoroughly dissatisfied. Upon their arrival at my properties, I was taken aback by their unprofessional behavior. In one instance, without seeking my consent, they introduced an additional chemical into my septic tank and subsequently charged me extra for it. This unilateral decision not only caught me off guard but also resulted in an unexpected financial burden. Called them a couple times before they answered. Just call them back in a while if they don't pick up first time. They told me up front the price (and that it would go up if there were complications, which is normal). Honestly told me when they would come. They called back an hour ahead and came when they said they would. Price was fair and they have decades of experience. They were very careful with our plumbing. Got a lot of stuff cleaned out of our sewer pipe! Highly recommend. Whoever says on here that they are greedy or expensive simply hasn't had professional work done lately.

The short time they were here they were trying to sell me products and service. Charged me double what other companies charged. I wish I had read these reviews before calling them. Do yourself a favor and find a company with ethics
