I have been a long time customer. When I have had issues with my heating system, I was able to speak to a rep on the phone pretty quickly. It would be a few hours for a technician to come out. On February 2, I received an email that I had an upcoming delivery. On February 8, I ran out of oil. I called the service line at 8:30 pm. I waited on hold for 2 hours. Then I chose the "we will hold your place in line and call you back option." It is now 2:25 am and I have not yet spoken to anyone at Petro. I understand that there are probably many others with issues, and it might take awhile for a technician. However not being able to speak to someone on the phone for over 6 hours is unacceptable.

I’ve had a terrible experience with Petro Home Services. On the coldest day of the year (below 0°), my oil tank ran completely empty even though their system showed I was at 80%. Their numbers don’t add up. After my last bill showed ~80 gallons remaining, they supposedly delivered 120 gallons (which should have put me around 200 gallons in a 275-gallon tank). When they finally came out after I ran dry, they only added 110 gallons — and their own records showed the tank as full. That proves their tracking and delivery estimates were wrong. Because they let my tank run empty in extreme cold, my pipes froze. I’m an HVAC tech and got my heat back running myself, but I still had to pay a plumber to help defrost frozen pipes. Great service crew and customer service, always friendly and polite and the 24/7 service is no joke... Most recently Rick, Donny and Bob worked on my oil burner, 2 problems popped up within a month, usually I only see my technicians during my annual cleaning, but they got it squared away and were punctual, thanks! Sure the oil price is a little higher but the service plan is top notch..

Petro has been an amazing company to work with! My family has been a loyal customer, and they have never failed us. We recently had a new boiler installed. It took us a while to get there, but when we did, it went smoothly and professionally!
