My wife called to see when the next delivery would take place she was told a delivery would happen on Sunday before the snow storm. I didn't know she had called and I was concerned about the weather called myself at 3:41pm and the customer service person said there would be a delivery guaranteed on Sunday before the storm.he also stated that he was greatful for us being a customer since 1994 and I thanked him for his time I was getting a gen and snow blower prepared before the storm and my wife came out to tell me the heat wasn't working. She then called Petro they said we wouldn't get a delivery until MONDAY which contradicted the past customer service reps we spoke to. I had a delivery less Than 3 1/2 weeks ago and I was charged $686.85 at $4.58 a gallon. They came to my home yesterday and started filling my oil tank again and I had to run out there to tell them to stop. Again I was charged $383.94 at $4.55 less than 3 wks they delivered. They told me they weren't sure if I needed the oil. I complained that I am now almost at $1,000 owed to them less than three weeks of oil that I did not need. Called customer service and they told me they would give me a $50 credit after being a customer for 20 plus years. I will cancel my contract as fast as I can. There are so many other oil companies out there that are almost a dollar cheaper than Petro. I was a loyal customer and she did not care at all. I have a service contract with Petro.. I thought having one would help me when I need help.. it’s not so.. my house lost hot water and heat this morning. Nov 21st.. the technician comes at 4:00 pm when I was told by 12:00. He comes and says I have no oil in my tank. They forgot to deliver my oil. The Petro tech puts 20 gallons in my tank and turns on the hot water and my boiler. He waits 10 minutes and leaves. Now it’s 5:00 so I decide to wait to make sure everything is copasetic. I go downstairs at 6:00 and I HAVE A FLOOD IN MY BASEMENT. I called Petro right away. They said that they only have one technician on and he will be over when he is done with his appointment now.. it’s 2 hours later and they just told me he is still at the other appt. wish there is 0 star I can enter, worst oil company ever In long island, do not ever ever sign contract with petro, they will rob your every single penny from you, petro is not a customer friendly company. petro will find million reasons to charge ridiculous, unreasonable bills to take customer's money, no exeptions. technicians are very professional & polite, but not receptionists, office employees or managements. if you have a lot of money to waste, if you have a lot of patience, you can call petro oil service, otherwise take this review as considerations, PLEASE DO NOT BUY from PETRO, hope this company bankrupt very soon.

I must start off by saying there is NOTHING SPECIAL about Petro. There are many choices out there and I am sure there are going to be issues with other oil comapanies, too. With that being said the jokers in the ivory tower DO NOT CARE!!! That is the way of the world!!!! Petro Oil has down hill BIG TIME. There is no transparency and their communication SUCKS.
